Preparation
Preparation is an essential part of the process. It supports your body, mind, and nervous system in entering the experience in a safe, grounded, and more receptive way.
A well-prepared participant usually experiences more clarity, stability, and deeper integration.
Before the Retreat
Before your arrival, we will guide you through:
- preparation recommendations
- dietary guidelines
- safety and health check
All participants are required to complete a short intake form. This allows us to assess whether the retreat is safe and appropriate for you.
Dietary Preparation
We recommend following a light and clean diet for at least 5–7 days before the retreat. This helps your body become more sensitive and supports a clearer experience.
Recommended:
- fresh vegetables and fruits
- rice, grains, simple meals
- light soups
- plenty of water
Avoid:
- alcohol
- drugs (including cannabis)
- processed and heavy foods
- red meat and pork
- excessive sugar
- caffeine (or reduce gradually)
Medications & Health Conditions
Some medications and conditions are not compatible with plant medicine work. This includes (but is not limited to):
- antidepressants (especially SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs)
- psychiatric medications
- history of severe mental health conditions
- heart conditions
- high blood pressure
- pregnancy
Important
Never stop medication on your own. If you are taking any medication, please inform us in advance so we can guide you safely. Any changes to your medication must always be discussed with your doctor or healthcare provider. Each case is reviewed individually, and we may decline participation if we feel it is not safe.
Safety First
Your safety is our priority. We carefully consider:
- physical health
- mental health
- medications
- emotional readiness
This work is not suitable for everyone, and honesty is essential.
Mental & Emotional Preparation
Preparation is not only physical. It is helpful to:
- slow down before arrival
- reduce stress and stimulation
- spend time in reflection or journaling
- set a clear intention (without expectations)
You don’t need to be perfectly prepared — openness is more important.
Integration
The process does not end with the ceremony. Integration is where real change happens. We support you in:
- understanding your experience
- grounding it into your body
- bringing it into your everyday life
Final Note
Preparation is not about strict rules. It is about respect — for your body, your mind, and the process. Coming with honesty, openness, and willingness to look within is what matters most.
